St. Patrick's Day: Go Green!
The Edible Schoolyard Project (ESY) was founded in Berkeley, CA by Alice Waters of the legendary Chez Panisse restaurant. Their mission is to build and share a national edible education curriculum for pre-kindergarten through high school. They envision gardens and kitchens as interactive classrooms for all academic subjects, providing sustainable and free lunches for every student. The ESY wants to integrate this curriculum into schools and in turn, transform the health and values of children across the United States.
Margaret O'Leary is proud to partner with The Edible Schoolyard Project by donating a portion of all sales on St. Patrick’s Day to provide scholarships for local educators from the ESY Network in all 15 Margaret O'Leary boutique regions.
